Home from War

What an honor to be asked to capture the moments when a family is reunited after 7 months of being apart! 

It was a sunny, cold Sunday afternoon. Jalane anxiously waited with a heart full of expectation and joy, scooping her son, Logan, into her arms and reminding him that Daddy was going to be on the next plane. We kept looking out through the windows for any sign of the red, white, and blue American Eagle plane. When we finally saw it rolling towards us, Jalane's eyes were full of tears while she hugged her son close. Almost as soon as the plane rolled to a stop, we saw SSgt Jonathan McAtee stride around the corner, towards his family. The moment was so joyful! I could go on and on describing the emotions of those sweet seconds, but I will let the photos tell the story.
