In an effort to try to update my blog, i'm posting a lot of my work from the past 6 months. I keep thinking that i'm going to become one of those people that stays caught up w/ their blog. Hasn't happened yet, but i'm still hopeful!

This wedding was held in October of 2010 in Abilene, Texas.

This past year I started assisting Caroline Joy in shooting weddings. It has been so great to experience shooting weddings from the "other" angle. Erin & Jana {Wedding}

This wedding day was full of details that were unique to the bride and groom. From the pink & blue converse shoes they wore to the reception, fake-fighting over the wedding pie, and getting in a bit of Angry Birds before the ceremony, Erin & Jana made this day their own. They were also willing to act a little silly in front of the camera, which I always appreciate! Be sure to pay special attention to the pictures of Jana eating Erin's tie, and the American Gothic rendition of cake cutting :)

Miriam & Adrian {Wedding}

Miriam & Adrian were married on a warm June morning. The setting was beautiful. The cakes were amazing, baked and decorated by the bride herself. And everyone was so much fun to be around! It was such a delight to watch the joy radiate from Miriam as she stood in front of Adrian. I felt so blessed to witness the union of these two.

I could go on and on about how lovely all the of details from the day were, but pictures always do a better job. Enjoy!

Jason & Meredith Beene {Reception}

Meredith & Jason's reception was on April 16, a week after their wedding on the beach in Florida! The night was full of an awesome groom's cake with fondant beans on top, dancing, lots of beautiful & tasty food, and a room full of people ready to have a great time. Lindsey & Blake {Engagement}

I had the pleasure of photographing my best friend, Lindsey, and her sweet fiance, Blake. Lindsey is one of the greatest friends a gal could ever have. And she's really great at quoting FRIENDS :) Blake has so much joy and fun in him, and the way that he loves Lindsey is just beautiful. I'm blessed to have such a wonderful couple in my life, and cannot wait for their wedding that is coming up in just 7 1/2 weeks! I love you both so much, sweet friends!

Alright, enough gushing about how great Lindsey and Blake are. I am absolutely in love with these photos! The lighting was just perfect, and i was able to capture exactly what I had envisioned for this shoot. And, I suppose it didn't hurt too much that Lindsey and Blake are one of the most beautiful couples you'll ever see :) The sunlight added such a dreamy effect and warm feel to the photos. After the sun went down, we headed to downtown Abilene and used the flash to create some drama. We finished up in the bowling alley at HSU, where Lindsey & Blake first met!

Amanda & Mitchell {family}

I had the wonderful opportunity to take pictures of my beloved co-worker, Amanda, along with her husband, Mitchell, this past Sunday. These two have so much love for each other and it was a pleasure to spend a bit of time with them both. I love you both! and I can't wait to meet baby Owen!

Candace & Gavin {family session}

I met up with Candace & Gavin last week by the park. The weather was warm, the sunlight was perfect, and the wind was true to west Texas form and blowing about 50 mph!
